Watching my Plebs

Whilst waiting for Fallout 4 to land, I've got myself playing Fallout Shelter.

Familiar game mechanics but the fallout skin has actually made me stick with this game a while longer. Will I be addicted?! Stay tuned!

Spotify's Flat Design Logo

Just noticed Spotify applying a bit of flat design to their logo. From a slight gradient green to a darker green.

Function always over Form

Whilst having my morning coffee I had the chance to interact with this iconic coffe cup.

Elegant in its form, as I picked the cup up, I found myself straining to lift such weight with support from my finger and thumb.

I may actually be lifting this cup worngly but the physical affordance warrants some people (like me) to lift the cup as such. Why is the handle be so small?

I don't care that it looks more elegant   Let me enjoy my coffee without having to cramp up my hands every time I take a sip.

Sketcha Day - Exploring Modem Forms

Form factor

Quick Sketch looking at form factors for modems. As much as people want to hide their modems behind shelves, TVs or in the garage, it actually does affect the wifi strength in home.

The challenge is to make the Industrial Design of modems take on a neurtral form to compliment people's home decor

Honest Design - Huxtaburger

I've finally been able to give Huxtaburger a go but before deciding to go, I had gone to their website to check out their menu.

I was very impressed by their website. Very simple and a pleasure to navigate. A great example of honest design.

As a customer I want to know two things.
1. What's on the menu

2. Where do I get it?

The site does well to play like a mobile app and the interaction is quite nice. Kudos to the Huxtaburger Design team.

Sketcha Day - No Guts No Glory!

Defqon.1! No Guts No Glory!

I'm an avid fan of the Hard Style Culture particularly into Q Dance events and music. With inspiration from Pinterest, I thought I'd channel my excitement in some sketches.

Sketcha Day - Unboxing Experiences

A thought on unboxing experiences. What makes a great unboxing experience?

When you open up that new contraption for the first time. What do you expect to see? Is it the device that you've longed to see in the flesh? Is it a guide?

A great unboxing experience helps you use your device as quick and easy as possible without having you to think so hard.

If you've ever unboxed an apple or Samsung product, take note of the experience. How quickly were you able to start using the device?
